Sanjay Colony is a small 25-acre settlement in South Delhi, near the Bahá’í Lotus Temple and the Iskcon Temple. At first glance, it might seem like just another slum, but beneath the surface, you’ll discover a community full of energy, creativity, and solidarity, where daily life reflects resilience and collaboration.

Our tour, led by a local female guide, invites you to explore its streets and alleys, visiting small-scale businesses, a temple, a mosque, and residential areas. You’ll learn how people work, live, and support each other, witnessing firsthand how a community can thrive and maintain a positive spirit despite the challenges of urban life. We will also visit a women’s cooperative and learn about the educational initiatives of our partner NGO, Reality Gives, which empowers youth through education and sports programs. This partnership ensures that the tour is respectful, inclusive, and meaningful, providing employment for local women and offering an authentic perspective of life in the community.
