Schedule Details

Day 1: Delhi (Arrival)

Welcome to Delhi, the vibrant capital of India, steeped in rich history! Upon your arrival, your tour guide will greet you at the airport and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, your guide will tailor the rest of the day’s activities, which may include some sightseeing and a delightful welcome dinner to kick off your adventure.

Day 2: Delhi / Overnight train to Bikaner

A variety of city and slum tours await you today. In the morning, consider visiting Sanjay Colony, a vibrant community spread over 25 acres in southern Delhi, located near the Bahai Lotus Temple and Iskcon Temple. Here, you'll gain insight into the daily lives of residents and experience the resilience and positive energy that permeate this area, despite its challenges. You'll also learn about the NGO programs that are supported by your visit. In the afternoon, choose from a selection of traditional sightseeing spots, such as India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Agrasen ki Baoli, and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh temple renowned for its community kitchen that serves over 10,000 meals daily. Later in the evening, we’ll board an overnight train to Bikaner, continuing our journey through this incredible region!

Day 3: Delhi / Bikaner

An early morning arrival in Bikaner awaits us, a historic city renowned for its impressive forts, palaces, temples, and delicious cuisine. After checking into our hotel, we’ll enjoy lunch before embarking on an orientation tour of Bikaner. This tour will include a visit to the majestic Junagarh Fort, where you can explore its stunning architecture and learn about the rich history of the area.

Day 4: Bikaner / Jaisalmer

An early morning drive will take us to Jaisalmer, known as the “Golden City” and nestled in the heart of the Thar Desert, a journey of about six hours. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your guest house before setting off for an enchanting evening camel safari. As the sun sets over the dunes, enjoy a memorable dinner under the stars in the serene landscape of the desert.

Day 5: Jaisalmer

The following morning, we’ll return to the guest house before embarking on an afternoon tour of the breathtaking Jaisalmer Fort. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture as we explore the bustling markets that surround this magnificent fortress.

Day 6: Jaisalmer / Jodhpur

In the afternoon, we’ll board a train to Jodhpur, known as the “Blue City” and one of Rajasthan’s oldest cities. Arriving by late evening, we’ll check into a beautifully restored 400-year-old Haveli that now serves as a guesthouse. As the day winds down, savor a traditional Rajasthani Thali for dinner at a rooftop restaurant, with the stunning backdrop of the Mehrangarh Fort.

Day 7: Jodhpur

In the morning, we’ll explore the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the blue city below. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, there’s an option to take a zipline tour over the fort! In the afternoon, you can choose to visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the world’s largest palaces, which features a hotel and a museum, or Jaswant Thada, a stunning marble memorial often referred to as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. If you still have energy in the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the vibrant markets, soaking in the local atmosphere!

Day 8: Jodhpur / Jaipur

Today, we’ll board a morning train at 8 AM to Jaipur, which will take about 5 hours. Upon our arrival, we’ll check in to our hotel before heading to Nahargarh Fort. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset view over the Pink City, a perfect way to wrap up the day!

Day 9: Jaipur

Today, we’ll embark on a full day of exploring Jaipur. In the morning, we’ll visit the majestic Amber Fort, known for its stunning views. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our adventure by discovering more of the city, including Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar. If you’re interested in shopping, we’ll also stop by Bapu Bazaar. For a unique experience, you can opt to catch a Bollywood film at the renowned Raj Mandir cinema!

Day 10: Jaipur / Agra

Today, we’ll take a morning train to Agra, the city renowned for the iconic Taj Mahal and the impressive Agra Fort. Upon our afternoon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel before heading out to explore Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful 22-acre Persian-style garden by the Yamuna River, providing a unique perspective of the Taj Mahal. Later, we’ll visit the grand Agra Fort, constructed from striking red sandstone. In the afternoon, we'll also visit Sheroes Hangout, a café run by female acid attack survivors. Acid attacks remain a serious issue in India, but this empowering initiative provides survivors with the confidence to step back into public life and reclaim their identities. After a delightful dinner, we’ll return to our hotel, where you can unwind with a drink on the rooftop, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Taj!

Day 11: Agra / Delhi

Today we’ll wake up early to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise- the best time to visit. We come back to our guest house to have a late breakfast and then check out and drive to Delhi. On the way we will stop at a small village where you will get an understanding of how the majority of India’s population live with their unique traditions and customs and visit one of our Rural Community Project to see how you support this by taking our tour. We’ll arrive in Delhi in the evening, check into your hotel and you probably won’t have much energy to do anything else!

Day 12: Delhi (Departure)

This morning marks the conclusion of our tour. We’ll ensure your smooth transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Thank you for being a part of this enriching experience with us!
