Experience an unforgettable journey through India’s Golden Triangle, designed to explore Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur while forming meaningful connections with local women along the way.

The program offers an opportunity to discover the vibrant atmosphere of Delhi, including a visit to Sanjay Colony, a small slum where women leaders and entrepreneurs are driving innovation and change. In Jaipur, you’ll support the Pink City Rickshaw Co., an eco-friendly initiative run by women from low-income families.

Dive into the lives of women artisans preserving traditional crafts, and take part in cooking workshops to learn cherished family recipes. This journey focuses on the Golden Triangle while highlighting the important role women play in shaping their communities and advancing empowerment.

Day 1: Delhi (Arrival)

The first day of the program begins with an afternoon arrival at Delhi International Airport, where participants will meet the Trip Leaders and transfer to the hotel. After check-in and refreshments, there will be an initial Orientation session to establish a Community Agreement, setting a foundation of respect and collaboration for the journey. The day concludes with a buffet dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi

The second day begins with a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Delhi, led by a knowledgeable and friendly female guide. Participants will visit iconic sites, including the Lotus Temple, Iskcon Temple, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and Agrasen ki Baoli, gaining unique insights into Delhi's heritage from a women’s perspective. In the afternoon, the group will explore Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a prominent Sikh temple known for its large community kitchen that feeds over 10,000 people daily. The day concludes with dinner at a traditional Indian restaurant and an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi

The day begins with a morning tour of Sanjay Colony, guided by a local woman who will lead participants through its bustling streets and colorful alleys, showcasing the resilience and creativity of the community. Participants will explore lively markets, visit workshops buzzing with craftsmanship, and stop by a women’s cooperative. In the afternoon, we’ll connect with our partner NGO, Reality Gives, to learn about educational initiatives focused on empowering youth through education and sports, with an opportunity to participate in activities at the Sanjay Colony community center. The day concludes with dinner at a traditional Indian restaurant and an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 4: Jaipur

The day starts with a morning departure from Delhi by bus, arriving in Jaipur by the afternoon, where participants will check into the hotel. After settling in, we’ll go on an orientation walk around Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City for its historic center adorned in pink terracotta hues. Later in the afternoon, we’ll visit Nahargarh Fort to enjoy stunning sunset views over the city. The day wraps up with a group activity and an overnight stay at our local guesthouse in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur

Today’s adventure takes us on a full-day tour of Jaipur in the Pink City Rickshaws, driven by women from low-income households. In the morning, we’ll visit the stunning Amber Fort, known for its magnificent views. Our afternoon continues with explorations of Jaipur’s iconic sites, including the Hawa Mahal—originally built so royal women could observe festivals unseen—the City Palace, and the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar Observatory. In the evening, we’ll meet with a local Indian woman to dive into the rich history and traditions of Indian marriages and discuss the concept of arranged marriages. The day concludes with an overnight stay at our local guesthouse in Jaipur.

Day 6: Jaipur / Tilonia

Today’s journey takes us to the inspiring Barefoot College in Tilonia, about two hours from Jaipur. This remarkable organization is dedicated to initiatives in education, skill development, health, access to drinking water, female empowerment, and solar-powered electrification. We’ll explore the campus and learn about its impactful projects, including how solar power has enabled many women to become literate through night schools, transforming their education and empowerment. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Jaipur, where we’ll visit Bapu Bazaar for shopping, with an option to experience a Bollywood film at the iconic Raj Mandir cinema. The day concludes with an overnight stay at our guesthouse in Jaipur.

Day 7: Agra

In the morning, we’ll take the train to Agra, home of the iconic Taj Mahal and the impressive Agra Fort. Upon arrival in Agra late in the midday, we’ll check into a family-run guesthouse. Afterwards, we’ll explore Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful 22-acre Persian-style garden located next to the Yamuna River, which offers a unique view of the Taj Mahal. Later, we’ll visit the massive Agra Fort, constructed from striking red sandstone. Dinner will be served at our family guesthouse, followed by a curriculum activity. The day concludes with an overnight stay at the guesthouse in Agra.

Day 8: Agra / Delhi

Today, we’ll visit the world’s most iconic building: the Taj Mahal. No trip to India is complete without experiencing this breathtaking monument, where the glimmering white marble and intricate carvings are even more impressive in person than in pictures, making it one of India’s top attractions. Next, we’ll head to Sheroes Hangout, a café run by female acid attack survivors. This inspirational project provides survivors with the confidence to show their faces in public once more, highlighting their resilience. Following a curriculum activity, we’ll board the evening train to Delhi. The day concludes with an overnight stay at our hotel in Delhi.

Day 9: Delhi

We’ll arrive in New Delhi by mid-morning and enjoy lunch in the city. In the afternoon, we’ll explore Janpath Market in Connaught Place for some shopping. Afterward, there will be a curriculum activity followed by dinner in Delhi. We’ll then hold a closing ceremony to reflect on our experiences. The day concludes with a late departure from Delhi International Airport.
