Note: the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays to allow the local Muslim community to hold prayers at the mosque situated within the complex.

Day 1: Varanasi (Arrival)

Arrival in Varanasi, the spiritual heart of India. After transferring to the hotel, we explore the iconic ghats along the Ganges and wander through the atmospheric lanes of the old city, rich in temples and sacred life. At sunset, we enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges to witness the mesmerizing Aarti ceremony, the world’s most impressive fire ritual.

Day 2: Varanasi → Agra

This morning, we explore the ancient city of Varanasi, a timeless center of spirituality and tradition. A guided walking tour takes us through its car-free maze of narrow lanes, hidden temples, old palaces, and vibrant local markets, revealing the city’s most authentic side. In the afternoon, we take a train to Agra.

Day 3: Agra

The morning is free to rest and relax. Later, we explore Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal and the majestic Agra Fort. We visit a local social initiative led by women who survived acid attacks, offering insight into another powerful social reality of India and their journey of resilience and empowerment. In the afternoon, we stroll through a riverside Mughal garden with beautiful views of the Taj Mahal, followed by a visit to the impressive Agra Fort, built in striking red sandstone. In the evening, we return to our homestay for a home-cooked family dinner.

Day 4: Agra → Jaipur

We start early with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, the most magical time to experience this wonder. After returning to the hotel for a late breakfast, we take a train to Jaipur. Upon arrival, we check in at the hotel and later head to Nahargarh Fort to enjoy a spectacular sunset view over the Pink City, the perfect way to end the day.

Day 5: Jaipur

Today is a full day exploring Jaipur. In the morning, we visit the magnificent Amber Fort, a 16th-century Rajput masterpiece with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Back in the city, we continue to Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, and the Jantar Mantar observatory, with time to browse the lively local markets. In the afternoon, we enjoy a unique ride through the city in electric rickshaws driven by local women, discovering hidden lanes, traditional crafts, and authentic flavors while supporting a meaningful social initiative. We end the day with a classic Bollywood film at one of Jaipur’s most iconic cinemas.

Day 6: Jaipur → Delhi

The morning is free to explore Jaipur at your own pace, whether wandering through its colorful streets, enjoying local parks, or even joining a casual yoga session with locals. In the afternoon, we take a train to Delhi, India’s vibrant capital rich in history. After hotel check-in and a short rest, we head out to visit some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Agrasen ki Baoli, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, known for its community kitchen serving thousands of meals daily, and the impressive Akshardham Temple.

Day 7: Delhi

In the morning, we visit Sanjay Colony, a vibrant community in South Delhi. Guided by locals, we explore daily life and learn about community projects supported by responsible tourism initiatives. In the afternoon, we conclude our India experience with a food tour of Old Delhi, sampling local street specialties from parathas and chaat to sweet jalebis and refreshing lassi.

Day 8: Delhi (Departure)

This morning marks the end of our journey. Transfers will be arranged to the airport, train, or bus for your onward travel.
